Social Media Manager

Our Social Media Manager is responsible for creating, managing, and improving our client’s brands through Social Media. You should have a desire to build the brand of Stingray Branding and our clients and have a passion for following the latest social trends in society. We are seeking a professional that desires to work with a team that strives to continuously improve on our skillsets and the results we produce for our clients. This position will be primarily a “work-from-home” position. However, you may be asked to handle on-site social media management for various events or to attend monthly strategy meetings with clients. This will require a positive personality and professional hygiene.

Reports to: Marketing Director

Hours: 25-30 hours per week, growing to 40 over the next 6 months

Days: Monday to Friday, 1 weekend per month.

Pay: $10-$15 per hour based on experience.

Requirements are:

  • A Degree in Communications or Marketing OR 3 years of experience with an agency
  • Be charismatic
  • Willing & able to work up to 40 hours per week
  • Willing & able to work 1 weekend a month to respond to Social Media messages or for event promotion
  • Self-motivated and task-oriented.
  • Able to work with limited supervision
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office & Email
  • Thorough understanding of Social Media platforms & growing a brand on Social Media

Duties are:

  • Scheduling weekly Social Media posts on multiple platforms
  • Responding to questions on Social Media pages within 10 minutes of inquiry
  • Responding to comments and reviews on online platforms
  • Creating content calendars
  • Creating and managing ad campaigns on Social Media platforms
  • Willing to be on video for Facebook, YouTube, or other platforms as needed
  • Coming up with monthly promotions for clients
  • Other duties as assigned.

Not required, but preference is given for:

  • Facebook Blueprint or other Social Media certifications

The position is an in-office role in Charleston, SC where you will work standard office hours. We offer a very experienced staff in our office with a casual and positive environment. Our entire staff has marketing and business degrees, and we have over 100 years combined experience for our interns to learn from.
We are seeking interns for the Fall 2019 & Spring 2020 Semesters currently.
This internship is for credit (1-4 credit hours = 10-40 hours per week). The internship is not a working position within our agency. However, you will benefit from working alongside the CEO to understand how an agency operates.
